Realign Our Money

Investing my time here in Seeds Malaysia for 4 days 3 nights.Learning about food forests and permaculture.

What is it related to money right?
Money precisely is the one that connects me to agriculture. The more I research, the stronger it connects me to the earth and thus to food forests & permaculture. We always have a kind of dualistic thinking that ‘money’ is one thing and ‘earth’ is another thing. So, end up, we define our self-worth by our financial worth and exclude all other factors.

Many times, when money is the main and only factor, many things become ridiculous and make no sense. It is clear to me that no point to further my professional financial cert if not making any sense as the earth is not even part of the factor or concern. We live in a world economy that doesn’t make sense, & our easy-going kind of logical thinking put our future at risk. 50 years have passed, with the reason of “economic development”, it is leaving us only the depletion of nature resources, destruction of humanity and environmental degradation. The return is more disease, more climate change, more uncertainty, more insecurity and a garbage ocean, this is the death economy which leads us to no future. “it is the road to a sickness which even the richest societies may find it hard to survive,” said statistician and economist E.F Schumacher.
No matter how much income we have, how much investment return we get & how much profit we earn from business, we still face a greater insecure future, and the strain of life is getting unbearable.

Our economic health is at stake right now, as is the health of our earth. @jperkinsauthor the author of confessions of an economic hit man, said “the future lies in transforming the Death Economy into a Life Economy that cleans up pollution, regenerates devastated ecosystems, recycles, and develops technologies that restore resources and that benefit, rather than ravage, the environment.” No matter which industry we are in, we must reorient to the life economy.

Let’s realign our money with the deepest sense of responsibility & love toward the earth.
