A Home of Togetherness

Thankful for this beautiful 3 days experience of building a house, a home for Khairul & family, together with more than 30 volunteers from different backgrounds and experiences, but with a shared mission and a common contributing heart.

In this Epic Homes x Prudential Malaysia project, I learned and benefited a lot, from blurring to figuring out the picture, from worry to overcoming fear, from tense to enjoying the learning, from tiring to looking forward, from a project of building a house to a community of building a home to peoples’ hearts.

I see a house built up from the flat ground. I see how the structures, roofs, walls and floors join together and become a house. I see peoples who contribute their money and sweat to be volunteer builders. I see joyful smiles on the volunteers’ and Khairul’s faces.

Grateful for this volunteering opportunity. This experience, impact and community are beyond what money can buy. For me, this house-build project is not only a home for Khairul & family but also a home for peoples’ hearts, a home of togetherness.
