The more we give, the more we get

We are grateful for the opportunity to volunteer in Nepal for 15 days and Sri Lanka for 17 days. Maxine and Stanley volunteer in a children’s learning centre at Sitamai Village, Nepal and a Buddhist monk English teaching program in Sri Lanka.

Through this experience, we learnt that to help people, we need to reach out first with love and trust. And at the same time, be thankful for having the opportunity to help people. Although we come with a heart of “giving”, we believe we “get” more during this activity. Thus, the saying ‘The more we give, the more we get’ is true!
